Silverlake’s music scene is synonymous with the iconic Satellite. The Satellite is known for featuring up and coming artists as well as hosting secret shows from big name acts. If you’re looking for some fresh produce or are hoping to grab a bite to eat, you’ll want to head over to Silver Lake’s Farmers Market. The Silver Lake Farmers Market is one of the best around. Held on Tuesday afternoons and Saturday mornings, the market is where you’ll be able to find a variety of goods from fresh produce to vintage clothing. Here, you’ll also find fresh flowers, books, crystals, dried sages and records for sale. If you’re looking for prepared food, you’ll find that too! The Neutra VDL Research House is a unique spot to visit in Silverlake. The house is an architectural wonder and helped designer and architect, Richard Neutra to become one of the most well known architects in the area. The house was first created by Neutra in the early 1930s as a project that would allow for a home and office in one unique space. Over the years, the historic house has been the location where hundreds of projects have been born. Today, guests can tour the house on Saturdays from 11am to 3pm. Guided tours are available.
