The Turkey Trot is also a family friendly run so feel to bring the little ones along to join in on the fun. The Turkey trot will take place Thanksgiving day in Downtown LA.

While the 5k is the more popular event, if you are more of an avid runner and you want a little more of challenge, sign up for the 10k route. The 5k will begin at 8am and the 10k will start at 8:45am. If you want your kids to be signed up for the fun run, register them for the Widdle Wobble race which starts at 10am. The Widdle Wobble race is for those 9 and under. During this race, your kids can enjoy a race in a fun and friendly environment. All participants get a fun and festive turkey trucker hat and a finisher’s medal.

After that, you will run past the Disney hall and the Cathedral of our Lady of Angels. Run downhill for a stretch before continuing onto Spring Street, which was once called the Wall Street of the West! Keep an eye out for the Continental Building, which was the first skyscraper in Los Angeles. The route will loop around and have you ending at City Hall once again. The 10k will follow a similar route except it will take you past a few other destinations such as the popular Broad Museum and the Dorothy Chandler.
