Los Angeles is a thriving city of the arts. For more interactive art events, check out some of these June events in Los Angeles!

One upcoming event that will be held at Grand Park, in downtown LA, is the Interaction Park festival. In an effort to bring more art into public spaces, the Grand Park + 13 Arts fest’s Interaction Park aims to  do just that. During the festival, there will be large scale, interactive art installations located across Grand Park’s Event Lawn. Throughout the event, there will also be live music from musical artists such as The Gaslamp Killer, Oscure, Earthquake state, Captin’ Jay, Bartek and Mike G. The event will take place on June 2nd from 6pm - 11:30pm. The event is FREE and open to all.

Metro Art is part of a wide push to create art specific installations at various Metro Spots throughout Los Angeles. Metro Art simultaneously adds artwork into the lives of regular transit users as well as offering incentives for others to use to the Metro. One upcoming event hosted by Metro Art is Sci-Fi at Union Station: a screening of the 1954 movie “Them!”. This movie was groundbreaking in the mid 50s and is a pioneer amidst the “nuclear monster” genre, as it was the first to portray a colossal sized insect. The event is to take place at the North Patio of Union Station on Friday, May 12th from 8:30-10:30pm. The event is FREE and open to the public.

The LA Pride Festival is a weekend long event featuring a music festival, food and drink from local eateries and various activities. In past years, performances have included Jennifer Hudson, Ke$ha, Krewella, Fifth Harmony, Carly Rae Jepsen, Daya, Danity Kane, Ciara and Charli XCX. In addition to the two day music festival, and in place of the annual LA Pride Parade, this year will feature a Resist March in an effort to advocate for human rights. All are welcome to participate in the march. LA Pride Festival will take place June 10th and June 11th. Tickets for the Music Festival are now on sale.
