This underwater, virtual reality experience will take you on a journey to the deep like never before. theBlue is the all new, virtual reality experience that guests can now enjoy at the Natural History Museum. Using the latest technology, the device will take you on an unforgettable and immersive experience through the blue of the ocean. On your journey to the deep, you’ll be able to experience the ocean like you never have before. In fact, you’ll even be able to swim alongside angler fish, manta rays and even a blue whale! - all without having to even get wet. During your journey, you will also be able to dive deep underwater and explore a sunken ship as well as all the various sea life that is around the ship. After that, head over to the coral reef and swim alongside jellyfish and anemones. Your journey below will end with a dive to the bottom of the ocean floor where you can interact with bioluminescent fish as well as checking out a whale skeleton!
This all new virtual reality experience lasts for 6 minutes and is accessible to all skill levels even if you’ve never experienced virtual reality before! Due to popularity, advanced tickets are required for the experience. All tickets are also timed. For nonmembers, tickets are only $10. theBlue is great for everyone ages 10 and up.
