With the holiday season upon us, there are so many events and activities that are held throughout Los Angeles so you’ll be sure to find just the thing for you. If you are looking for New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day plans, consider attending the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl. Read on to learn more about the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl experience.

The Annual Rose Parade is a local favorite event that is a great way to ring in the New Year. Held every New Year’s Day for over 100 years, this family friendly event consists of floats that are completely decorated from various flowers. This year, the theme is “Making a Difference”. In addition to the floats that will parade down Colorado Blvd, there will also be marching bands and horses as well! There are bleachers along the parade route, which offer some of the best views of the parade. Tickets for these bleacher seats can be purchased through the official website. If you don’t want to pay for these seats on the bleacher, you can join locals along the sidewalk of the parade for FREE! In fact, it is a fun tradition for family and friends to camp out all night on New Year’s Eve along the parade route in order to secure your spot for when the parade begins.

After the Rose Parade finishes, the fun still isn’t over. The Rose Bowl, also known as “The Granddaddy of Them All”, is a college football bowl game that always takes place on New Year’s Day after the Rose Parade. Held at the Rose Bowl stadium in Pasadena, this bowl game is actually the oldest college football bowl game of them all. The bowl game usually consists of the winner of the Big Ten Conference heading up against the winner of the Pac-12 Conference. Get your tickets for this event before they all sell out!
