The Oktoberfest at the Alpine Village has occurred annually since 1968 and every year it gets better and better. Enjoy live music from traditional Oom Pah Pah bands as well as delicious German fare. If you want a snack, go for one of the giant Bavarian Pretzels served straight from the oven! If you’re hungry and would like a meal, there are a number of options to consider. Try the bratwurst sandwich, the pork schnitzel sandwich or the herb baked chicken. Sides include classic items such as potato salad, sauerkraut, German fried potatoes, cole slaw or fries. Be sure to leave room for a dessert as you can choose from either apple or cherry strudel to top off your meal!
While the food is great, be sure to pair it with some of the best beers around. The main beer at Oktoberfest will be the Warsteiner Oktoberfest, which goes down smooth and tastes delicious. Other options include the Warsteiner Dunkel, the Warsteiner Pilsner and the König Ludwig Hefeweizen. If you happen to want other libations, they will be serving Ace cider as well as wine options that include Chardonnay and Zinfandel.
