The latest exhibit to be on display at the Marciano Art Foundation features Latin American Artists in the Marciano Collection. These artists are on view from October 19th through January 12, 2018. This collection explores Latin American art in dialogue with Los Angeles. The goal is spark an active global dialogue and to help draw connections among the diverse group of Los Angeles based and international artists. Some of the countries that will have art featured at this event include Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Venezuela and Peru. Taking center stage at this exhibit is Damian Ortega's American debut of Architecture without Architects (2010). Through Ortega's sculpture, he transforms and challenges our relationship with domestic objects and architecture.
The Marciano Art Foundation showcases collections from emerging, mid-career and well established artists. The foundation offers a more contemporary bent featuring artists predominantly from the 90s - present. Additionally, the space focuses on artists who are based in Los Angeles so that the space also showcases art that has been inspired by the city. This permanent exhibition space will feature rotating and thematic exhibitions throughout the year. You’ll find the Marciano Art Foundation at 4357 Wilshire Blvd in L.A.
