Museum of Jurassic Technology

Los Angeles is filled with exciting and interesting activities to do and see. From the interesting and fascinating to the unique adventures that you could only find in L.A., there is surely something here for everyone. If you are looking for a unique experience unlike anything you’ve experienced before, head to Museum of Jurassic Technology.

Self proclaimed as an “educational institution dedicated to the advancement of knowledge and the public appreciation of the Lower Jurassic”, the Museum of Jurassic Technology is not like any other museum you’ve ever been to. For one thing, just what is Jurassic Technology or the Lower Jurassic? While a trip to the museum doesn’t necessarily answer those questions, the museum is successful in offering more questions than answers. Walking through the halls of the often unclassifiable exhibits, you’ll find the overall feeling evoked is similar to the cabinets of curiosities that were famous in the 16th century. In fact, it was these cabinets of curiosities that were the predecessors of our modern day natural history museums.

As a result, the museum transports you back in time, to a time before our modern day museums. There are exhibits on art, science, history and more. Yet are these exhibits actually what they appear to be? What the Museum of Jurassic Technology does is force the audience member to question what they know of museums and to take the ‘truth’ of exhibits at face value. Located at 9341 Venice Blvd, if you find yourself near or around Culver City, the Museum of Jurassic Technology is a unique and interesting place to visit. If you enjoy odd or weird experience as well as experiences that make you think, definitely consider heading to the Museum of Jurassic Technology. It will truly be like nothing you’ve ever experienced. Be sure to visit today!
