Culturally Fun Exciting Things Koreatown Los Angeles

September 19, 2014

You can find many cultural centers in Los Angeles. One of these places is Koreatown – a vibrant area of LA where you can find not only great quality food, but also other places such as markets and even a music venue! For those that already know of places to stay near Ktown Los Angeles, here are some places to keep a look out for during your trip to Koreatown. Are you in the mood for some chicken and beer? If so, stop by The Prince – a restaurant known for its Korean style deep-fried chicken! The Prince opened up in the 1920s and has become known as one of the most famous eateries in Koreatown. In fact, previous American presidents, Hollywood stars and other A-listers frequent this establishment.

Happy hour is on Monday through Sundays from 4pm – 8pm. If you love tofu soups, check out the Beverly Soon Tofu Restaurant. “Soon” means soft, so you can get soft tofu soup where you can personalize the soup with whatever you want in it! Since its opening back in 1986, the restaurant now includes other foods such as spicy chicken, spicy squid, barbecued galbi and tofu steak. The Galleria Market in Koreatown is a one-stop shopping location that offers 70 stores. At the Galleria Market, you’ll be sure to find low prices and high quality items, which makes this market a destination for residents from all over the LA area. At the food court, there is also a wide variety of authentic Asian cuisine. Also located in Koreatown is The Wiltern, a famous and popular music venue.

The Wiltern opened in 1931 and still retains its Art Deco architecture today. The theater holds anywhere between 1,200 to 4,000 people, depending on the type of show. The Wiltern is divided into five levels and includes two bars in the rear. Bands such as Rise Against, Bombay Bicycle Club and Milo Greene have graced its stage. Who will you see at the Wiltern?
