If you are looking for a fun and exciting way to explore Los Angeles, look no further than CicLAvia! If you’ve never heard of it before, CicLAvia is an annual event that is the country’s largest open street event! Essentially, CicLAvia, is similar to a huge block party that will take place through various parts of Los Angeles. This event is FREE and open to the public!

CicLAvia will take place along historic Wilshire Blvd. The street will be closed off to traffic as it goes through Westlake, Koreatown and downtown Los Angeles. While the streets will be closed to cars, it will be open to pedestrians, skaters, runners and cyclists as well. One thing to consider is that this is not a race, therefore, there are no start nor finish lines. Instead, simply start wherever you would like along the path and explore these different areas of Los Angeles.

This is also a family-friendly event. In fact, it is not uncommon to see entire families riding bikes down Wilshire during this fun event. CicLAvia is also a great way to get out, enjoy the sun, and get a little exercise in while having fun! Along the way, you’ll see some iconic landmarks that you might never have seen before. For example, you’ll pass by The Wiltern, a music venue that was built in 1930, which is also one of the finest examples of Art Deco architecture in the Unites States. There will also be two information hubs located along the route. One will be located at the corner of Parkview and Wilshire Blvd and the other will be located at 1 Wilshire Blvd. At these information hubs, you can pick up activity flyers, get information, neighborhood guides and even enter free raffles!
