Not many people may know this, but Los Angeles is actually an up and coming city in the world of micro-breweries. If you enjoy trying new beers, consider heading out to one of these breweries when you stay in the Los Angeles area. Support these local companies as they brew delicious beers in the city they love.
Angel City Brewery was founded a number of years ago in Culver City. However, it was always the dream of the owner to make the brewing company located in Los Angeles. Today, this brewery is located right off the Arts District and close to downtown Los Angeles. It’s location in the Arts District is quite fitting as when you walk into Angel City Brewery, you’ll be met with a wide open space that looks more like an art gallery than a brewery. Don’t let the scenery trick you though as the space is relaxed and at nearby tables you can play board games, card games, and other classics like Jenga!
Mumford Brewing Co. is another brewery located in Downtown Los Angeles. This brewing company started by local brothers Peter and Todd Mumford and began as a home based operation a year ago. After years of perfecting their recipe, they were able to open up a brewing company for all to enjoy. The company offers IPAs, a cream ale, and an American black ale. Tasters, pints, and growlers are available. Mumford Brewing is located at 416 Boyd St in Los Angeles.
Beachwood Brewing is a little different from your other brewing experiences. That’s because Beachwood is also a restaurant that serves up delicious BBQ that is paired with their locally made brews. Beachwood offers IPAs, stouts, dark ales, blond ales, Hefeweizens and many more. In fact, there are 22 rotating taps, whose beers have been hand selected for your drinking pleasure. Enjoy the special brews that are constantly on rotation, so no matter how often you visit there will always be new beers to enjoy!
